About this site

“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.  He guides me on paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,  I will fear no evil, for you are with me;…” Psalm 23

We walk alone for years and decades before it dawns on us that life is an individual competition. Life is what we make of it. We are surrounded by family, friends, co-workers, and strangers whom we try to please at varying cost to our individual sovereignity. When we look in the mirror only one person looks back at us. That person is responsible for the life we lead, not family, friends, strangers, or government.

Since we lost touch with God, we have lost our way and as a result our time is a conflict between the rights of the individual and those who want to harness the individual to a ‘higher’ good. The path to that higher good is big government.

Strong central government is what our founders fled when they risked their lives journeying from old Europe to the new world. This blog is about why we must choose the individual path, not the siren song of the elites.

Some thoughts from wise men follow. If these things make sense to you come on along!

“I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.” -Winston Churchill

“A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul.” -George Bernard Shaw

“Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.” -P.J. O’Rourke, civil libertarian

“A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.” -Thomas Jefferson
