Remember back in February when we had to act now to save the planet, I mean America as we know it with the $747 billion dollar shovel ready stimulus plan? Remember the unemployment rate was going to top 8% if we did not act now? This on top of last falls TARP program that had to happen today or the universe was going dark.
Well, the latest employment numbers from all the states are out and the unqualified conclusion to be drawn is epic fail. The administrations completely wrong employment projections showed net gain of 3,460,000 jobs. The actual result is -2,708,000. How about a Bronx cheer for Vice President (the stimulus is working) Biden.
The only state to gain jobs was North Dakota with + 1,800. Folks North Dakota has oil, and oil drillers and supporting businesses were hiring. Is there a lesson here? Perhaps, but the larger message is jobs come from businesses hiring to meet demand for their product, not because the government passed a piece of paper.
An economy freed from regulation, financed by equity (previous profit!!) and credit will create jobs. Small business creates jobs. We have tried government run economy, lets go back to capitalism! Support candidates who support the American way.
I don’t want America to become Europe West, I want the America my grandfather lived in.
