Give us this day

After two solid days of rain, the sun is shining this morning. There was just a hint of frost on the grass as we took off for our morning walk. Fall is here, the leaves are turning and winter is in the air.

A wonderful day to be alive. In the daily hustle we often get immersed in the pressures of job, family, and obligations. Many mourn the just passed days of summer, and lament the snow and cold to come.

It is human nature to worry about things that loom in the future, but please take time out to enjoy what is and what has just passed. Take time to thank God for the blessings of life and the world around us.davinci-divina_proportione

The sun’s rising in the morning is a thing of beauty. The golden light means warmth chasing away the cold and dark of night. The sun wakes us to another day in the miraculous journey of life. Celebrate life, yours and others, every day.

The sun’s passing in the evening is a call to cease the day’s labor and take a moment to be thankful for our blessings and realize life’s problems may be manageable after all. The setting sun is a call to rest, enjoy, gather with friends and family.

The world we live in is a masterpiece, take the time to enjoy it, enjoy the world and give thanks to God for creating it and allowing us to be part of it.
