Medical Costs 101

toon0428091

Each Dollar spent on healthcare is a Dollar of income for someone.

Therefore, to cut costs someone’s income get’s cut.  Fewer tests, fewer drugs, fewer hospital admissions, fewer surgeries, reduced preventative care, fewer doctor visits…well you get the idea.

As soon as Aunt Edna dies because not enough tests were done, her hospital stay was cut short, or a procedure was not authorized, the tort bar will have a field day.

Do we really want our medical professionals working longer hours to earn less money? Even if you think doctors are over paid, this is a bad bargain for us as taxpayers and as customers.
